Today, we welcome Sonaksha who runs a lovely blog TheSonshu to Baggout’s series on “Interviews with Style Divas”. She writes on Fashion, her style experiments, style tips, and lifestyle musings through her blog. Getting straight to the interview –
BG – Tell us something about yourself. Which three words would describe you best?
Sonaksha – I’m a student of Communication Studies, freelance writer and blogger. When I’m not working, I love reading, dancing, watching TV shows, and movies. I’m not sure of three words but I think something on the lines of crazy, constantly thinking and fearless.
BG – How would you describe your blog in one sentence?
Sonaksha – A reflection of the eccentric place that is my head.
BG – What is your Favorite Online Shopping Destination?
Sonaksha – Favourite online shopping destination…that’s a tough one considering I’ve lately become cozy with the idea of not having to step out to shop. But I think I would say Flipkart? It’s just that I prefer not buying clothes or shoes online, so it’s either makeup or books and Flipkart is my go-to for both! Other than that I do enjoy Jabong too!
BG – Five beauty essentials in your bag.
Sonaksha – I’m not a beauty person, so I prefer wearing minimal makeup. I’ll tell you what I carry though: kohl, eye liner, chapstick, tissues and a mirror. Oh, and my favourite fragrance! Does that count?
BG – Five wardrobe essentials you cannot live without.
Sonaksha – It would be a black cardigan, jeans, ballet flats, a satchel and of course a tank top. With these essentials I could do so many looks and be comfortable! Oh, I must mention that cardigans are a must have for me, no matter what the weather.
BG – If you could peak into someone’s wardrobe, whose wardrobe would it be and Why?
Sonaksha – Interesting. A lot of people actually but maybe Carrie Bradshaw (if we’re talking imaginary), Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Ellie Saab.
BG – What is your Craziest Purchase in last three months?
Sonaksha – It would have to be my recovery after the shopping ban I was on. I hauled books like crazy and of course bought some clothes too. But I think I’ve toned down my shopping after this ban. It worked?
BG – If you have to do your own fashion show, who would you like to invite as a showstopper?
Sonaksha – I have thought about this many times and it would most definitely have to be Lady Gaga. Hello, the woman is brilliance personified when it comes to her bold sense of fashion and the way she can make any look hers. She can look absolutely stupid and yet you wouldn’t think so because of the way she carries herself. That’s something I admire about people.
BG – One fashion tip every woman should follow?
Sonaksha – I don’t know if this sounds cliche? But what I always follow and think is really essential is confidence. No matter what you wear, it’s fashionable and essential to be confident. Nothing quite like that.
BG – What does Baggout mean to you?
Sonaksha – Who doesn’t love looking at pretty products? I know I love it. Baggout to me would be a great way to find things that people you like are loving, apart from the fact that you get to browse all your favourite products in one place and even make wish lists. That’s the icing to the cake.
With Lots of Love
