Today, we welcome Abyudaya, who runs a beautiful blog called “abhyused“ to Baggout. Getting straight to the interview –
BG- Tell us something about yourself. Which three words would describe you best?
Abyudaya- Well, I am a dental surgeon, a cartoonist and a blogger. You can find me sitting alone at public places, observing people, drawing conclusions in mind, smiling to myself. I guess I am a typical Aquarian. Three words that describe me best can be-Creative, Romantic and Friendly.
BG- How would you describe your blog in one sentence?
Abyudaya- My blog can be described as an outgrowth of my imagination- a ‘cerebral wart’ (patent pending!) sometimes funny, sometimes plain weird- which I choose to put on display because of my deep desire to entertain and influence as many lives as I can, in this small little lifetime.
BG- How long have you been blogging? What do you like most about blogging?
Abyudaya- I have been blogging for a while now. I started out in 2005-06 with a blog called “Walking on dew drenched grass barefoot”. It was just a platform to express myself and also, let’s be honest, to impress people (mainly girls) but then, later it evolved slowly into its present format and I used it to just keep track of my own musings. People told me that my writings fall in the genre of prose-poetry. What I like about blogging is that it breaks shackles and allows you freedom to speak your mind. Also, your blog becomes who you are; it is a part of your identity. In a way, it helps you reinforce your personality and from the interaction with other bloggers, you gain a perspective about things around you and yourself.
BG- What is your Favorite Online Shopping Destination?
Abhyudaya- I do most of my online shopping through flipkart; love their service and I think with the cashback and discount offers on Baggout, I am now going to get more out of the shopping experience.
BG- What was your first purchase using your own money?
Abyudaya– Umm.. I am yet to start earning. Although I keep getting online shopping vouchers and I’ve always bought books with them. I think the book “The Tell-Tale Brain” by V S Ramachandran was one among the first and I love it for all its insights about the human brain.
BG-What is your Craziest Purchase in last three months?
Abhyudaya- I bought this cool Puma T-shirt for my dad on flipkart. But that isn’t the crazy part. Crazy thing is that all his office colleagues liked his T-shirt so much that he had to tell me to buy T-shirts for them because they all just kept praising it and dropping hints that they want the same too. I ended up shopping for a bunch of Puma t-shirts of different sizes and colours. He’d put me on call with his colleagues and they’d describe the colour and size etc of their preference.
BG- If you were shipwrecked on a desert island what five items would you want with you?
Abyudaya– A Kindle with all my favourite books.
- A mobile phone to shop/ call for help if there is reception, otherwise just to play games.
- A power source to charge my mobile.
- A lamp with genie who grants wishes.
- A microwave oven to cook fish etc.
BG- How do you think can Baggout help you while shopping online?
Abyudaya– By giving me amazing combo offers, discounts, coupons, cashback etc. I think it is a great initiative and I wish the Baggout team all the best in their venture. I hope they keep coming up with more and more innovative deals and find partnerships with many more online portals so that all online shopping junkies keep getting amazing deals.
BG – Thanks Abyudaya for your interview. I hope our users will like it!!!
With Lots of Love
