Today, we welcome Sunita, who runs a beautiful blog called “Chowmiaow“ to Baggout. Getting straight to the interview
BG- Tell us something about yourself. Which three words would describe you best?
Sunita- I am a full time grandmother, blogger, housewife and cook, living in a two generational family in Mumbai. Everyday my family becomes four generational when my anesthetist daughter drops off my grandson before she heads to the hospital. My life has been changing constantly and this is what I love most about it: the challenge of facing new activities every day. Apart from my daily routine which consists of playing babysitter, housekeeper, family banker, and general counselor I enjoy many other activities that keep me busy all through the day : reading a book, listening to music (especially the radio),surfing the net, walking around the neighbourhood, sampling different cuisines, capturing photographic moments, talking with my friends, stretching out with Yoga, blogging , freelance writing, researching new products, seeing movies, traveling and volunteering with an NGO that provides accommodation to children undergoing treatment for cancer. I am blessed to be leading a full life. The three words which describe me best would be optimistic, curious and helpful.
BG- How would you describe your blog in one sentence?
Sunita- My blog is my space in the virtual world where I share my views, news and reviews in poetry , prose and the occasional photograph.
BG- How long have you been blogging? What do you like most about blogging?
Sunita- I have been blogging for a long, long time now. I think it was since 2008. What I like most about blogging is the fact that I can get published with just a click – no more sending stuff to editors and getting disappointed with returns.
BG- What is your Favorite Online Shopping Destination?
Sunita- Currently I can be found browsing online grocery stores as I find it difficult to go out shopping. Of course I still have my trusty baniya to home deliver but I think online shopping somewhat replicates the live shopping experience which I really miss. I normally shop on Flipkart, BigBasket, Local Banya and Greencart.
BG- What was your first purchase using your own money?
Sunita- I earned my first money way back in the 70’s and my first ever purchase was the BeeGee’s “Saturday Night Fever” album – a vinyl 33 1/3 rpm LP record.
BG- What is your Craziest Purchase in last three months?
Sunita- I’m not an impulsive shopper and only buy what I need. My craziest purchase would probably be the edible flowers that I wanted to try out.
BG- If you were shipwrecked on a desert island what five items would you want with you?
Sunita- My computer, my camera, my lipstick, my face cream and a bar of Toblerone.
BG- How do you think can Baggout help you while shopping online?
Sunita- I love comparing prices and products and would ideally go from shop to shop till I am convinced that I am paying the right price for it. I think Baggout will make this easier as I’ll just have to go from estore to estore rather than actually visit the different shops that are almost always never in the same end of town!
BG – Thanks Sunita for your interview. I hope our users will like it!!!
