Today, we welcome Jitaditya who runs a beautiful blog called “The Travelling Slacker“ to Baggout. Getting straight to the interview
BG- Tell us something about yourself. Which three words would describe you best?
Jitaditya- Recluse, Cinephile, Vagabond… I mostly travel solo and prefer places where nobody else goes. I deal in digital marketing for a living, a profession I have arrived at after multiple trial and errors. When I do not travel I explore cinema beyond the so called mainstream.
BG- How would you describe your blog in one sentence?
Jitaditya-Soliloquy of an uprooted soul… uttered mostly on abandoned roads.
BG- How long have you been blogging? What do you like most about blogging?
Jitaditya-I have been blogging since 2006. But it was just like a personal diary read by almost no one. I was not a traveler then and mostly wrote about films I watched. But after my first foray into the Himalayas I decided to write about travel and also publish my photographs. I decided to do it more frequently and professionally and so I registered a domain and set up the current site in 2011. I love blogging because it has simply offered a level playing field to everyone. You are no longer dependent on the mercy of big publishers and can get everything done yourselves if you really know what to do.
BG- What is your Favorite Online Shopping Destination?
Jitaditya-I really do not have a favorite. Depends on what I need at a particular moment and who is offering the best deals at that point.
BG- What was your first purchase using your own money?
Jitaditya-I do not remember the smaller items but the first big purchase I made saving my own money was the Nikon D5000 that is one of the major reasons why my website exists in the first place.
BG- What is your Craziest Purchase in last three months?
Jitaditya-May be the Jigsaw Killer themed T Shirts. But shopping is not really the occasion when I display craziness.
BG- If you were shipwrecked on a desert island what five items would you want with you?
Jitaditya-My Hard Disk Drive, Laptop, Camera, a solar power backup to run them (if that exists) and a Katana just in case.
BG- How do you think can Baggout help you while shopping online?
Jitaditya-It makes it easier to find better deals across other sites and thus saves our time. Moreover, it offers added cash back which is useful when one is cash starved like me.
BG – Thanks Jitaditya for your interview. I hope our users will like it!!!
