Today, we welcome Kritika who runs a beautiful blog called “Epiphanies” to Baggout. Getting straight to the interview
BG- Tell us something about yourself. Which three words would describe you best?
Kritika- I am a commerce student(B.Com and CS together). I am also a die-hard bibliophile. I write a lot, too. I harbor a love for psychology. I am a dreamer. Sometimes, I also become a socialist at heart. A part of me is secretly very environment enthusiast. Everyone knows me as the unbeatable optimist. I have this habit of learning time-management and the act of balancing by taking up multiple things at once. I guess it’s safe to say, I am a multi-faceted personality. At least, until I figure out who I really am.
Three words that describe me best….well, I had to pester others to help me in this one: Pensive, optimist, meticulous, creative, kickass friend, book nerd, self-driven: all at once. These are the responses I got. Well, thanks for making me answer this question; I got to know more of myself! (Right now, I am just thanking god, no one called me a control freak)
BG- How would you describe your blog in one sentence?
Kritika- Since a have a triplet of my blogs, I would need to describe them in three (pardon me for the breach of limit, and for my arcane sense of humor)
One is Epiphanies, it can be called an experiment.
Second is When the sun goes down, which is an outlet for my angst, my elation, my ecstasy, my desperation.
The third is So many books, so little time. That is a nook to seek solace in books!
BG- How long have you been blogging? What do you like most about blogging?
Kritika- My first blog (thepanoramicpanoplycalledworld.blogspot.com) was an experiment. Without even iota bit knowledge of the internet and the world of blogging, I started writing and posting on this blog, not once knowing that there is a loooong blogging journey ahead. Initially it was christened “Striving towards a sublime spectacle”. The design, the name, everything was so amateur. But the learning experience was no less thrilling. Even today, when I have to use a widget, I first test it on this blog. *evil grin*. My second blog was made out of a necessity. I had just passed out of school, and with college life ahead, I had so much reeling in my mind, I HAD to make this blog. While this blog garnered more views and readers, there was still an itch.
I was still in the learning stage when I dared to kickstart a book blog. A niche blog is always a daring attempt, and I feel so relieved to say that despite grueling schedules of my college and internships, I am managing it to my heart’s content.
Now that a friend has joined me in my second blog, co-blogging with my partner-in-rhyme(that’s what we call our pair) is a delight. And I get to read books for the third one, what more can I ask for?
BG- What is your Favorite Online Shopping Destination?
Kritika- I primarily buy books online, and that has to be either flipkart or amazon, right? So, flipkart it is, because their gift pack is just awesome!
BG- What was your first purchase using your own money?
Kritika- It has only been scholarship money for me till now, and books have been my primary expenses. For me roti, kapda, makan is customized as coffee, reading nook, and books!
BG- What is your Craziest Purchase in last three months?
Kritika- People call me pensive, meticulous, and whatnot! So, even if I say that I did some crazy shopping, no one’s going to believe me. I rest my case.
BG- If you were shipwrecked on a desert island what five items would you want with you?
Kritika- Five? Wow. I would thank my stars for leaving me with five things. Usually you don’t get left with a single thing!
So, the five things would be, in no particular order: books, coffee, food, a camera (without connectivity, otherwise what’s the point of being shipwrecked?)
BG- How do you think can Baggout help you while shopping online?
Kritika- I guess, in this age of internet boom in general, and online shopping, in particular, we need a portal like Baggout not only to see everything at one place, but also for the offers we have over and above the discount. A little economizing and savings is all an online shopper seeks. I would definitely recommend this to my friends as well. This will, in the larger scheme of things, help boost online shopping as a mode too!
BG – Thanks Kritika for your interview. I hope our users will like it!!!
With Lots of Love
