Welcome to the Sundari, with a short interview!

BG- Tell us something about yourself. Which five words would describe you the best?

Sundari-  I am Sundari from Chennai. I am basically from Tirunelveli, a pleasant southern district in Tamil Nadu which is famous for delicious and mouthwatering Halwa. I have a 3 years old son. I am basically a software engineer. I have resigned my IT job to take care of my son. If I have not resigned, PinkandPink could have not born. I realized that blogging is the perfect profession for me and I am happy for it. PinkandPink is a website where you can find useful recipes, beauty tips, home remedies, fashion topics, parenting tips, product reviews and many more which are helpful for every diva.

Five words which would describe me the best – Simple, reliable, hard worker, ethical and lovable.

BG- When did you start blogging and what was your motivation behind starting the same?

Sundari-  I started blogging in 2012 when I was in maternity leave. But I wrote just 2 posts and took a long break to learn about blogging. In 2013, I started writing posts actively after learning a lot about blogging.

I worked for 6 years in IT industry before resigning my job to take care of my kid. But I wanted to do something fruitful that too from home. I am always curious about trying different recipes. So, it was easy for me to start a food blog since I had to write only what I was doing at home. After writing few posts, I realised that blogging is the perfect profession for me.

BG- Can you give us an idea on the theme of your blog ( Pink and Pink) and what kind of content your readers love?

Sundari- I started PinkandPink as a food blog. But I started sharing simple home remedies and whatever I felt worth of sharing.

Now PinkandPink is a website where you can find useful recipes, beauty tips, home remedies, fashion topics, parenting tips, product reviews and many more which are helpful for every diva.

Recipes and home remedies are the topics that most of the readers love to read.

BG- How much time do you keep for blogging on a weekly basis?

Sundari-  I spend 2-3 hours everyday for my blog on daily basis. Either I will be writing a blog post or working on other background works in the blog like design changes. On an average, I publish 3-4 blog posts per week. If there are no recent posts in my blog, it means that I am busy with my family and personal work.

BG- What are the top three lessons that you have learnt in your journey so far?

Sundari- Patience is the key in successful blogging. If you write about the things what readers like, your blog will become successful. No pain, No gain is 100% true when it comes to blogging.

BG- How did you get to where you are now with your blog? To what do you attribute your success?

Sundari- Support from family, passion & hard work, strong readers are the key factors.  I attribute my success to each and everyone of my family and readers.

BG- One of the hardest things for beginner bloggers is getting traffic. What tips can you give bloggers to drive traffic to a new blog?

Sundari- Social media promotion is essential for getting traffic to a new blog. Of course, your content should be found relevant and useful in front of google’s eye.
