We kinda like each other so start meeting more often and become friends. Then comes the big step wherein we become more than friends. However, the feeling needs to be mutual wherein both of us want to take it to the next level.

What happens, sometimes, is that – one of us friend-zones us meaning that (s)he takes us as a good friend but doesn’t want to get into a relationship. Being Friend-zoned is one of the worst feelings as you would have seen in mvies such as “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”.

1. You don’t make your intentions clear

You might get friend-zoned just because you never indicated your intention. You were, therefore, taken as a normal friend as your potential partner does not even know that you love him/her. All your communication needs to be geared towards making your intentions amply clear.

3. Try too hard to get her

Don’t try too hard to get into a relationship with her. You can do small gestures like buying her thought-out gifts or an elaborate surprise on her/his birthday. But if you try too hard, you might end up taken as “Chep” or a “Creep”. She will get intimidated and might even doubt your intentions.
