7 Ways You Are Unknowingly Damaging Your Clothes!

1. You Do Not Seperate Lights From Darks

Source: Wikipedia

You realize that additional tag that dependably goes ahead your dull washed pants – the one that says something in regards to the denim color that you typically simply discard with the price tag? Next time, read it — it has some very important information on it. Essentially what it says is that to get the super dark color you adore, they need to add a ton of color to your pants, which means when you get them washed some color may get on to other light colored clothes if washed together.  Same goes for different darks and super bright hues. To keep your whites from getting to be off-whites, or more terrible an entirely unexpected shading, wash your darks just with different darks and not with the light colored garments.

2.You Are In A Habit Of Dry Cleaning Your Vintage Clothes

The older the vintage clothing ,the more care it needs and for that we have seen that people mostly visit the dry cleaners for that purpose which is absolutely destructive for the delicate garment as the chemicals they use while dry cleaning can break down the fabric so easily and leave them in bad shape as already they are very delicate.Try avoiding dry clealing and even the use of soap on such vintage garments and preferably just wash it with nothing more than water.

3. Do Not Care To Protect Your Bras And Panties.

Have you ever opened your dryer to discover your bras/pants/long sleeve shirts have hitched themselves together like some entangled threads? While they’re tumbling with anger, bra hooks can catch on trim, distressed jeans, slim cotton – fundamentally all that you cherish. Keep your different garments safe, and your bra hooks from bowing by placing them in a clothing sack or a bra ball before you wash and dry.

4.Every Time You Wear It You Do Wash It

It is not a compulsion to wash every garment after you wear it just for once, one should be that much aware about keeping their clothes in a good condition. Washing, tumbling, drying cause shriking and fading of clothes and that is something nobody wants for their clothes, so make it a habit to not to wash clothes after every wash as jeans and all can be worn for more than once but yes obviously don’t do the same thing with undergarments ,they ought to be changed daily.

5.You Dry Everything

Their are fabrics which are not made to be dried in heat and for that it is very important for each of us to check the price tag of the article before throwing it. If it’s made of cotton, wool, or some other natural fiber, it’s probably going to shrink when it’s exposed to heat.

6. You Always Wash Your Clothes On Hot

A lot of people has this misconception that dryer is the only place where all the action takes place but they are simply so wrong.Shrinking can happen anytime your clothes are exposed to very high temperatures and that is soemthing we should keep in mind and especially for some fabrics.Preserve your perfect fit by washing anything you’re worried about shrinking on the cold setting, just to be safe for most of the time the cloth loses its shape if exposed to very high temperatures.

7.You Use Plastic Or Wire Hangers

Usually every fabric is delicate and if we hang them for too long on the hangers in the closet you will eventually get to see those weird nipples on the shoulder part of the garment. On more delicate fabrics, like silk, mesh, or anything sheer, those nipples can become holes, especially if it’s a heavy piece of clothing. If you want to avoid such events you should definitely buy some good quality velvet hangers and if you have some delicate expensive vintage garments too ten just go for the padded hanger for some extra support and to keep them in shape.
