Online shopping is growing vastly these days and from Instagram to facebook our feeds are literally filled with the sponsored ads promoted by sites to offer you the dream dress at super affordable prices. But that cannot deny the  failure a person face during such transactions, and here we’re talking about the grief of not getting the right size while choosing the product online.

Here’s an experience of one of my fellow colleague:

I ordered a bodycon dress which was supposed to fit in my XL body shape. The dress was dreamy and pleasing enough to catch your attention with a single look, but for my surprise, the size doesn’t match of what they had shown and it was preferably a medium size which doesn’t fit me at all. I was left disappointed and lost all faith in shopping online.

This is nothing new for people who chose online shopping, through which picking a right size out if so many brands look like a mammoth task.

Most of the brands have different sizing maps and chart which often confuses people. The dispute is not limited, as there is a sizing issue within a single brand which will differ at several instances, which in short means they don’t follow any fixed or standard sizing policy which is a negative thing for consumers.

There is no standardization at all and even the shopping sites pay no attention to it. With India being such an economical preference, the need for right-sizing by the brands both national and International is a must and the demand for the same is raised since quite a few time.

The good thing is there are some sites and brands who are working efficiently in this direction which makes the future for online shopping preferable in India. We hope that fashion brands will take this need seriously and will work on it. And you our beauties need to pay attention while shopping as we don’t want you to feel deceit.
