Shopping for clothes is the most enjoyable thing to do when you are bored, when you want new clothes or when you want to cheer up your mood. No matter how much a person shops, but one will never get tired of shopping again when a good brand puts the sale on. Well, doing shopping is everyones favorite but one must take care of a few things while shopping because there are many clothing secrets that a sales person  will never tell you.

Clothing stores often use various tricks to make us shop more. But as it is said “Honesty is the best policy” and we have found the secrets that manufactures and retailers hides from us, so we will tell you some clothing secrets that you never knew about.

Clothing secrets you didn’t know about

1) SALES, A GOLD RUSH

Clothing stores often trick customers with big sales, but have you ever thought how such big brands afford to give a such good amount of discounts on designer clothes. Here is the answer for you

  • Before sale, clothing stores hike their price and puts discount on them and after the discount it becomes a sum of the original price. Thus, sales benefit the stores, not the customers.
  • Ads for such brands claim sales up to 60-70% discount, it’s their another trick to attract customers, but the truth is they put 60-70% discount only on a very few clothes and the actual discount is about 10% on every clothing.

2) SIZE MATTERS

Size varies from brand to brand, because different manufacturers have different size scales. Thus, while trying clothes you will get fit in a smaller size of one brand and for an outfit from another brand, you may need medium size. Some companies intentionally  reduce the size of their clothes for female customers to buy them more readily.

3) THE DESIGNER WEAR

Clothing stores sometimes collaborate with famous designers, but collaborating with a famous designer doesn’t guarantee quality of the product. Customers pay more for exclusive items, but sometimes such products are not good in quality.

4) DISORDERED PILE OF CLOTHES ON SALE

Have you ever thought about, why clothes in sales section are all in a messy condition, while on the other hand the clothes that are not on sale are neatly folded. The chaos in  sales section is done on purpose to make customers feel happy that they have found a bargain in such a mess and will run immediately to purchase it.

5) BEWARE OF HARMFUL CHEMICALS

Before wearing new clothes, wash them mildly. Harmful chemicals are used in clothes manufacturing, even if an item is labeled “100% natural,” it may still be dangerous for your health. Keep yourself safe in case an infection has been passed on from some another customer who tried it on before you.

6) SYNTHETIC VS NATURAL

Synthetic items cost the similar as those made with natural fabrics. Manufacturers often increase the price of synthetic clothes to give customers an incentive to purchase more expensive items made from natural fabrics. The customer thinks that a cotton blouse isn’t that costly compared to a synthetic one and purchase it without a second thought.

7) DESIGNER CLOTHES ARE OF BAD QUALITY IN OUTLETS THAN THE SAME ITEMS IN BOUTIQUES.

To save money, many people try going to the outlets for designer items. Luxury brands often make items from cheap materials for outlets to get income from those who can’t afford their clothes in expensive boutiques.

8) POOR QUALITY GOODS

Before washing clothes, they look pretty and of good quality, but after washing just once, it gets torn and all bad stitches, poorly printed images and cheap plastic fitting starts appearing. This is exactly the goal of the manufacturers: to make things cheap so that we purchase them more often.

9) FASHION TRENDS CHANGE BY TIME

Fashion trends change as soon as the seasons do. Thus, to be trendy people shop more, and manufacturers get more work.
