10 Different Ways To Repurpose Your Mom’s Old Sarees!!

Saree is a very versatile piece of garment. And it’s a proven fact that all Indian ladies have a love for Sarees. All of us have a bunch of beautiful old Sarees that belong to our mums or grandmothers that unfortunately haven’t been touched for years. We don’t prefer to use them because of their heavy embroidery or handiwork. But with changing trends, we move on to the latest fashion, and our mom’s beloved Sarees can be used to create fusion outfits and many other outfits. Such as we can use two Sarees to make a new and refreshing outfit. We discovered different ways to repurpose your mom’s old Sarees.

1. Turn Them Into Dupattas

Choose that one favorite print from your mom’s Sarees and get it cut in a size of dupatta. You can carry this dupatta with plain kurti or suit. This dupatta will add a unique charm to your outfit.

2. Make A Long Kurti Out Of It

As we all know long kurtis are trendy this season. So turn that old Saree in a long kurti and pair it with a skirt or palazzo to get that ethnic look. Or what you can do is to pair it up with distressed jeans to look perfect fusion chic.

3. Customize It Into A Maxi Skirt

Maxi skirts are always in fashion. Turn your mom’s chiffon saree into a flowy maxi skirt and be stylish.

4. Make Yourself A Pretty Dress

You have always admired that print on your mom’s Saree. Now it’s time to flaunt it for yourself. Turn that printed Saree into your favorite type of dress.

5. Use Sarees To Make Shrugs

Shrugs are stylish and classy to carry. You can get that old saree stitched into a shrug. Flaunt that shrug as a ethnic staple or make your outfit fusion by pairing it up with jeans and a tank top.
