Delhi pollution news is all over the place and not for any wrong reasons. How else would anyone react when the air quality index of city goes to 1000+ when the scale is set only till 500. The below chart shows the meaning of various slabs of air quality index.

According to experts, this level of pollution is equivalent to smoking multiple cigarettes in a day. We are not going to dwell into the reasons for the current situation but would help you take care of yourself and your family.

1. Get an air purifier

There are scores of good quality air purifiers available in the market and would help you make the air in your home and offices clean enough to breathe. Kids and elderly are more susceptible to the harmful effects of smog so in case you have your old parents or kids at home. Then you should definitely look at buying an air purifier as per your budget.

2. Stay Indoors

Don’t step out of your house if you absolutely don’t need to. Just stay indoors and have an air purifier running. 5. No more outdoor jogs

Morning jogging can be dangerous when it is smog outside. In fact, a number of medical experts warm against jogging outside when the air quality index is higher than 300. The half marathon in the city has also been cancelled due to the same reason. One needs to reserve minimum time for outdoor activities and you can in fact buy a treadmill to jog in a safe environment.
