Divyanka Tripathi won Miss Bhopal title in the year 2001. She is a beauty queen and nowadays is famous for her TV serial “Yeh hain mohabtein”. By her show, she is ruling television industry and has become everyone’s favorite.
Once Divyanka said,
“I was in class twelve when I became Miss Bhopal. Ofcourse, it was a surprising moment for me because till then I never thought that I could do anything related to beauty. I was far away from beauty and makeup; I always wanted to be an army officer. But at the same time, I also wanted to learn something new and that is what happened during that pageant.When I was walking the ramp for Miss Bhopal, I actually did not know ramp walk. And every girl out there was teaching me to do the cat walk. I was very nervous and when I won the title everyone was shocked because nobody expected a newcomer like me to win.”
Smriti Irani was the finalist of Miss India in 1998. And now she is Minister of Information and Broadcasting. But, after her participation in beauty pageant, she looked forward to work in TV shows and her most popular TV serial was “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”. She worked in the show for many years and got popular from the same show. Later, she turned her ways to politics.
Gauahar Khan won Miss India and Miss International in 2000 at the age of 18. But, she actually got famous when she participated in Bigg Boss and won the show. After, Bigg Boss she is trying her luck in movies.
Small screen’s Anandi aka Avika Gor started acting early in her life from the TV show “Balika Vadhu”. From that show she became everyone’s favorite. Also, she became the only TV actress from India to be felicitated with the prestigious ‘Face of the Year’ award in Vietnam.
Mihika Verma won Miss India International title in 2004 and even represented India in the Miss World pageant in the same year. Then, she made her career in the TV show named “Yeh hain mohabtein” and got popular but, now she has left the show and is happily married.
Gauri Pradhan participated in Miss India 1998 and after the beauty pageant she found her career in television industry. She did several TV serial, but got fame from the serial “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”.
Once Gauri said,
“Beauty Pageant was the first time when my parents had let me come down to Mumbai alone. I was in Mumbai for one month and during that time; I had attended lots of sessions on grooming and fitness. It was a good platform to showcase our beauty with the talent.”
Daljeet Kaur won the title of Miss Pune. She once said,
“When I had entered Miss Pune, I took it as a personality development course. I thought that I will learn something new. Winning the title was a big surprise for me. I remember, the crowd was screaming my name when the anchor asked the crowd of almost 10,000 to guess the winner after the final round. After winning, I got an offer for Balaji production and rest in history. The feeling of wearing the crown is still very fresh in my mind. “
Erica Fernandes participated in many Beauty Pageants and won the title Miss Maharashtra. And she also entered Miss India in 2012, but failed to win the contest. Later on, she started working in a TV serial name “Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi” which was a great success and gave her fame.
