Dressing well is something which can’t be taught – it has to be found for yourself. Everybody is different, and has different needs and wants from their clothes. The basics of most people’s clothing is the same; it is when people get past that point where the rules change. Decide what you want from your fashion: do you want to be hip, suave, dapper? Make sure that you focus on that when shopping for clothes, and then everything will fall into place.
Check the Fit
The fit of your clothes is very important. Just about all of the reviews of Gucci men’s apparel notes that the fit is absolutely perfect; this is because a good fit is a difference between an outfit which is perfectly pulled together and one which is a little bit off. A well-fitted shirt just looks better than one which is not fitted – this applies to all clothes. Check the fit of all your clothes, to make sure that you have that extra edge attached when you wear them. You never know when it might count, or who you might be impressing without knowing it.
Simplify your Wardrobe
It can sometimes be easy to justify buying a lot of clothes, simply to make sure that you have clothes for every occasion, and for every need. But if you simplify your wardrobe – yes, you will be re-wearing clothes rather a lot, but you will be able to afford to buy (or have made) the best pieces possible. A few well-made pieces will stand you in better stead than a huge amount of cheap clothing, both by looking better and by lasting for a longer time than ever before. Good clothing will last for longer, and you will get your money’s worth out of I before the end.
Develop your own Style
Don’t focus entirely on fashion – develop your own style. You should make sure to have some tips on fashion throughout your style – who knows, you might find something you like – but focus on yourself, and what you like. Find out what makes your fashion sense tick, and work from there. Remember that your personal style is as much about your lifestyle as it is your own personal preferences in clothing; your clothes need to fit your life, not the other way around.
Try New Styles
Don’t immediately lock yourself into one particular style, especially if you are just starting out. Try new things, and see how they feel. Try different fashions, or try and see them in action – you might find that an entirely new style has been opened up to you. Besides all this, it’s just fun to explore new things and try different styles out. Nobody has to stick to one style – there isn’t a law restricting people to it – and so branching out can be a way of demonstrating your willingness to try new things, and also a way of showing your creativity.
