According to officials, the plan involves widening the road to include two additional lanes on a 30.35km stretch, from Meerut crossing to Modinagar-Meerut border.
Also the metro line will soon be operational in Raj Nagar Extension.
Apart from all this there is also a proposed flyover and road from Hindon airbase that will offer express connectivity to Delhi via Wazirabad as proposed by Ghaziabad authority. And the proposed Delhi-Haridwar highway will also pass through Raj Nagar Extension, which will further enhance the connectivity of the area.
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has already planned the infrastructure for Raj Nagar Extension. This pushed up the hopes of real estate investors to make a profitable investment in this area. This resulted in raising the property rates in the area between 2011 and 2013 by about 50%.
According to an estimate, about 45+ real estate developers are active in this area. Also Ghaziabad is expected to send a smart city proposal to the government, which may bring a whole lot of new investment in this area.
