5 Clothing Fabrics that every Woman needs to know about!

Fabric is the most important component of any dress and an appropriate fabric needs to be chosen to ably support the fabulous design. When it comes to shopping for clothes, a number of times we have to drop good looking clothes because of poorly chosen fabric.

Let’s see 5 clothing fabrics that every woman needs to know about. These fabrics can help you in providing both comfort and style in your dresses.

  1. Cotton

Cotton is a comfortable, easy to use and cost effective fabric. Being a natural fabric, it doesn’t cause any skin problems. However, cotton is susceptible to losing its shape on stretching.

Egypt produces the highest quality of cotton. So, if you’re buying cotton clothes, then you may select items made from Egyptian cotton.

2. Hemp

Hemp is a high fiber clothing fabric that is made from the cannabis plant. Although, cannabis is banned in some countries but its fabric has a lot of benefits. Research has shown that Hemp produces 250% more fiber than cotton.

If you’re a pro-environmentalist, then Hemp can be the best clothing fabric as it doesn’t harm the soil and adds moisture to it.

Along with all this, Hemp is a very strong fabric which is usually non-irritating to the skin. Its cloth may feel like a normal linen cloth and the best part is that Hemp fabric is amazing for summers.

3. Linen

It’s a natural fiber that comes from the Flax plant. The best part about linen clothing is that it can look both professional and casual at the same time. This fabric is very light weight and breathable as well.

The only downside of wearing a linen fabric is that it wrinkles very easily. So, if you’re thinking of wearing linen clothing to a party, then get dressed at the last moment and be ready with your makeup and other stuff by then.

4. Nylon

It was earlier made as a substitute for silk. Nylon fabric is not so breathable because of the synthetic nature. One of the benefits of wearing Nylon clothing is that it does not wrinkle easily. But on the other hand, nylon is a synthetic fabric. This means that it is made from combination of chemicals.

So, if you’re into sports or you sweat a lot, then nylon fabric should be avoided to prevent health problems. Nylon is one of the least environment-friendly fabrics.

5. Rayon

If you visit any exhibition, then you might get to see Rayon dresses as well. It looks like a light fabric but is slightly heavier than cotton. But on the other hand, Rayon clothing is good for hot and humid weather conditions.

The major reason for recommending Rayon is that it keeps the exchange of air thoroughly and makes it suitable for the month of May to August in India.

So, these were some of the clothing fabrics that you needed to know about. We hope that during your next purchase, you’ll keep this article in mind.
