One thing to note here is that Indra Nooyi was a brilliant child. She had a lot of interest in studies and almost all the subjects she ever touched, became her favorite.
After that, Nooyi went for a Bachelor’s degree which she pursued in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Madras Christian College of the University of Madras in 1974. Yes, she is from the final year batch of 1974.

PepsiCo New CEO Indra Nooyi went for a Post Graduate Diploma Programme from IIM Calcutta in 1976. Then she went for a two years Master’s degree in Public and Private Management from Yale School of Management in 1980.
Indra Nooyi started her career as the Product Manager at Mettur Beardsell which she continued for a year. After that, she went to Johnson & Johnson for a year on the same position. Ever since then, she joined various other companies like Motorola, The Boston Consulting Group and more. Till one fine day she entered PepsiCo.

Indra Nooyi started her career at PepsiCo as Senior Vice President. She climbed all the stairs in the company and went all the way up to the Chairman of the company. The PepsiCo New CEO Indra Nooyi served the company for 24 long years before she stepped down from it.
Now, PepsiCo Chairman Indra Nooyi is on the Board of Directors at Amazon. She is the member of the Audit Committee.
During Indra Nooyi’s tenure at PepsiCo, the company’s growth saw a massive 80% hike. And with such an amazing growth to the company, Indra Nooyi earned $17 Million as of 2011 as the CEO of the company. By 2014, her total salary was increased to $1.90 Crores.
By the CEOWORLD Magazine, she was named as one of the Best CEOs in the world in 2018. Forbes Magazine named Indra Nooyi as The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women from the year 2008 to 2017. In 2008, Nooyi she was named as one of America’s Best Leaders by U.S. News and World Report.
Indra Nooyi is married to Raj K. Nooyi in 1981. Nooyi lives in Greenwich, Connecticut. She has two daughters and one of them is currently attending the School of Management at Yale University. You might find it surprising, but Indra Nooyi was once a part of an all girl band where she used to play a Guitar.
