Away goes the bikini and out with the fluffy coats! Although summer is probably everyone’s favourite time of year – sun, sea, beer gardens and summer dresses – you just cannot beat Autumn/Winter fashion. Oversized jumpers and chunky boots are a must!
Although you have the fashion essentials year on year, something that always changes is makeup and beauty trends, and most importantly, lash trends. With Halloween, Christmas and New year coming up, we’re going to give you a rundown of what we think you should expect to see on your favourite celebs in these colder months.

With Halloween just a few weeks away, the cat eye look is an obvious favourite.
But now, as trends do, we are taking it one step further with extreme cat eye! As with the conventional cat eye look, longer lashes are used at the outer corners to lengthen the eye, giving that smouldering effect. However, with the extreme cat eye, much longer lashes are used to intensify the look.
Some of the best lashes to create such a dramatic effect are M & L curls on the outer corners. These curls create a lifted appearance and open up smaller eyes. The sharp bend of the curl gives a beautiful sultry eyeliner effect.
From one extreme to the other: the ‘Kitten Liner’ effect.
This effect is a little more discreet. We’ve seen this a lot throughout 2021, giving a more minimalist, natural look. With slight elongation at the outer corners in a similar fashion to a classic cat eye, the look uses subtle, shorter lashes throughout the inner corners of the eye, creating the effect of eyeliner with that purrfect flick that we can NEVER seem to master when doing it ourselves. Can you relate?
Its growing popularity can only suggest to us this look is something we will be seeing more of going into the colder months of the year.
With Halloween and the festive season approaching, we can’t wait for our feeds to be filled with colourful and creative lashes. Whether they’re super scary, Christmas ready or just include a splash of colour, we love this time of year to see how creative the lash industry can get.
For Halloween, that perfect lash look can really bring a costume together and during Christmas, red and green lash extensions can help get everyone into the Christmas spirit. But one of our favourite trends this year is the splash of colour. Interspersing coloured lash extensions throughout a classic black lash set adds a few splashes of colour, adding a new dimension.
Clients can go as subtle or as bold as they like with full or partly coloured looks.
The wet lash look is rapidly becoming an industry favourite. Reflecting the name, this lash look resembles wet lashes, as though you could imagine water dripping straight off them. This look is created using closed or almost closed volume fans, forming a thick, spiky effect. Thinner and thicker fans are applied to the natural lashes until the desired effect is achieved making for a sexy, cool and bold look.
Wet look lashes have gone from a trend to a staple in the industry and we don’t see its popularity slowing down any time soon.
We hope you enjoy playing with these different types of lashes this autumn/winter!
