Bunty Aur Babli 2 Review: Worth The Wait?

What looks like a second part of the famous movie from 2005, Bunty Aur Bubli, starring the Masala Jodi on screen, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee, this was a brilliant comedy-con movie. Now comes another Dhamaka after 16 years. Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a movie that most of the Indian audience would like to watch.

Review

As far as the movie is concerned, this movie isn’t for everyone. It’s based on an evergreen genre where the plot is similar but the nuances and acts are different. The movie is plain and simple comedy which you would love to watch in your free time. Before starting this review, let us tell you that this review does not contain any spoilers.

The movie starts on the old Bunty Aur Bubli where both of them started living a simple life for about fifteen years. Later on, they find out that a new couple in town starts conning people and end up using the original Bunti And Bubly’s trademark. This ends up making the original couple furious. A new cop comes into the play where he roasts the old couple until he finds that this one isn’t the one who’s doing all the mess. Later on, he blackmails the old Bunty and Babli to help him find the new couple. Failing to do so, he would open their 15 years of crime record, thereby causing a lot of problems for the duo. Now comes the main part of the story; whether this old couple would help the cop who’s main intent is to get all four arrested for a big promotion of their life.

There are many main cast elements of the movie Bunty Aur Bubli 2. However some of the main cast characters are:

With these new Cast coming in the movie Bunti And Bubli 2, there are two things that are constant in the movie, Rani Mukherjee and fun. It’s a great feeling to watch Rani Mukherjee perform again on the big screen. We surely missed the acting by Rani Mukherjee for a really long time. She did add a lot of humor and serious elements as time came.

Check out this trailer where Bunty and Babli are forced out of retirement after a spate of robberies with their trademark sigil start appearing across India.

Main Characters

Rani Mukherjee

Rani is excessively sincere here. While trying to be the whistle gainer second, she ruins many in light of the fact that the protagonist doesn’t give the material to coordinate with her piercing exhibition. In the first, Abhishek, with his agonizing power, ended up being an extraordinary foil to her however here Saif, who is normally astounding in depicting joking humor, appears to have been approached to keep it uproarious and one-note. Maybe, it has been done to make a differentiation with the youths. Be that as it may, in a bid to look dated, you don’t need to act old fashioned. Vimmi and Rakesh hold saying to one another not to be overdramatic yet the producers don’t appear to pay any notice. Subsequently, in obscurity theater, the watcher might need to quickly advance the film on occasion.

Saif Ali Khan

If you’ve watched some previous movies of Saif Ali Khan, then this movie might make you miss some energy. Yes, Saif does miss that energy here. He seems to be good though, specifically for the elder Bunty’s role that he has. On the other hand, if you compare him to Abhishek Bachchan as far as his performances in the current movies is considered, you’d think that Abhishek would have done it better. Coming from the same director, the movie turns out to be a classic case of comedy. Although Saif has tried to hard to keep up with the flow that Abhishek Bachchan had set up. However, Saif’s performance wasn’t made for this one. Guess he only accepted this movie because of some quick buck.

Music

When it comes to music, the filmmakers did a fantastic job to retain Shankar Ehsan Loy for making the music. If the people in the theatre didn’t like the movie, then for sure they did enjoy the music that did help in juggling some shoulders on some good songs. Apart from the song Luv Ju, there was hardly any other song that we liked quite well.
