Check out this Contemporary Ayurvedic range for your Stretch marks

We are looking at the “big topic” which is becoming the centre of discussion in almost all the beauty forums – “Stretch Marks”. A significant percentage of females in India have stretch marks (especially after the pregnancy or during puberty); however, most of us brush it under the carpet and never take care of the same.

Stretch marks commonly develop when the body shape changes (gain/lose weight) and are a form of scarring that appears after your skin quickly stretches or shrinks. These marks generally appear on the body in areas like the stomach, thighs, hips, breasts and buttocks. Stretch mark treatment is problematic in general. It can be cured with medicine but may not completely disappear. Treating stretch marks as soon as they appear produces the best results. Deep stretch marks that are older may be more challenging to treat.

In our quest to find a good solution – we got our hands on Blue Nectar, with its products claiming quick smoothening of stretch marks, through the use of natural ingredients. We have tried a number of other Blue Nectar products in the past and have had great experience so we went ahead to give these stretch mark products a try.

We tried body lotion and body oil from their Stretch Mark Regime range. These products are claimed to be made using natural herbs rich in healing elements and have no side effects on the body. They do not use harmful chemicals that might have an adverse impact on the skin.

Our personal experience with the range

Niraa Stretch Mark & Scar Body Lotion Cream

From Mom & Baby section, we got Niraa Stretch Mark & Scar Body Lotion Cream. As the product description says, it is a lotion made to reduce the appearance of stretch marks due to pregnancy. It calms itchy and stretched skin, reduces stretch marks, and moisturises cracked heels. It’s non-greasy and appropriate for all skin types. It is an effective lotion for those who have dry, combination, or oily skin. The cream is made from all natural ingredients. The key ingredients are Cocoa butter and Shea butter (both of which are our favorites). Other ingredients used in the formulation are Saffron, Haldi, Nalpamaradi, Aloevera, Mulethi, Ashwagandha, Mango butter, Jojoba butter, Almond butter, Kokum butter, Cream base, and Rose essential oil..

Our experience of using the cream is more than satisfactory. We love the non-greasy nature of the cream which is especially good for people like me who have oily skin. We have been using this for over 2 weeks now and the results are pretty good. It fades the stretch marks scars on regular use and is the best cream that I have used till now in anti-stretch marks routine.

We loved the packaging as well as it is a compact 200ml bottle with a good quality pump for dispensing the cream with ease. This cream is suitable for both men and women and is used as a scar removal cream. As per the website, a lot of happy customers have seen results after using it for a week and we also concur with the positive reviews on product page.

Shubhr Ayurvedic Body Massage Bio-Oil for Stretch Marks

The second product that we got is Shubhr Ayurvedic Body Massage Bio-Oil for Stretch Marks, Aging & Wrinkled Skin. As the product description says, it contains the goodness of 9 Vital Herbs specially formulated for pregnancy use. It can help with the appearance of stretch marks caused by pregnancy, scars, uneven skin tone, and cracked heels. It moisturises, nourishes, and protects the skin while leaving no oily residue. It also aids in the treatment of aging and cracked skin. The key ingredients are Manjistha oil, Almond Oil, and Lavender Oil. Some of the other ingredients used in the formulation are Olive oil, Sunflower oil, Rosemary oil, Laljadi and Varnoshodhan. Manjistha oil is a rejuvenating herb and helps in lightening complexion and reducing scars. Almond oil is rich in Vitamin A, C and E & improves complexion, hydrates the skin and lightens dark spots and scars.

Our personal experience with the product is also good, since it aided in removal of the stretch marks with  regular use of the product, over 3-4 weeks. It is a good body oil for stretch marks, scars, uneven skin tone, and cracked heels. We also liked the fact that it removes strectch marks while also providing nourishment to the skin. Also, in spite of it being an oil based product – there is no oil left even after massaging for a minute or so. We give our thumbs up to this product as well.

Conclusion

Removal of stretch marks bolsters self-confidence, and often helps one in putting oneself out there. With Blue Nectar’s natural products, there are no side effects in fading scars, as all the products are not using any chemicals at all. We got good results from both the products and would recommend the same to our readers.
