As the world gets more and more filled with synthetic chemicals and instant solutions, the popularity of natural products kept climbing, fuelled by an increasing understanding of their mild but effective benefits. Having recourse to nature for care and cure would therefore imply a wholistic approach with least exposure to chemical nasties while taking full advantage of the infinite healing properties of plant materials. My Experience with Satthwa: Skincare & Haircare That Delivers
I have been using Satthwa products for quite some time, and I can say that-I am really impressed with some of them! They lean towards natural formulations, which I quite prefer when it comes to skincare and haircare. My experience with Satthwa products that I have tried is summarized below:
Rice Water Facewash- Glass Skin Look
This facewash claims to give a glass skin effect, and while I cannot say my skin transformed overnight, it certainly does give my face a fresh feel and hydration. It has a mild calming fragrance and does not rob moisture from the skin. There was some lightening with usage, but this product works well with a good serum or moisturizer afterward.
Kalika Hair Oil- Grey Hair Oil
I bought this oil out of curiosity, as it claims to help people with premature greying. It has a powerful blend of herbs, while rich in texture, it is not too sticky. The smell is quite herbal and would be loved by some but is stiff for a few. I haven’t seen much difference as I have used it for just a week now with respect to my greys yet, but my hair feels strong and nourished after using it continuously.
Blueberry Face Wash
This one, refreshing! It smells just like fresh blueberries and is gel-like in viscosity. It lathers quite well and effectively cleanses without drying out the skin. Perfect for everyday use, especially for those who adore fruity skin care.
Vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic Acid
A good vitamin C serum! It goes in well, feels great, and does not leave a sticky feel on the skin for layering with sunscreen. Regular use further brightened my skin, which, when it comes to Vitamin C, brightening does take time. The hyaluronic acid in it works wonders for hydration, which makes it a great generalized product for the AM routine.
Alpha Arbutin Ceramide Serum
This was one of my favorites! Lightweight, non-greasy, and helps even out skin tone. I would use it mostly at night, and over the course of weeks, my skin texture felt smoother and even. If you struggle with pigmentation or dullness, it may be worthwhile to try!
Castor Oil-Cold Pressed
Thick, pure, and effective! I have used it mostly for my eyebrows and massages on my lashes; it does help with hair growth. Combined with my hairstyling, it gives nourishment. A tiny amount is all that is needed as castor oil is rather thick.
Conclusion
Satthwa has some really good products, especially for people looking for naturally derived ingredients. Not all the products gave immediate results, but most seemed to deliver with regular use. If I’m going to buy anything again, it would definitely include the Alpha Arbutin Ceramide Serum and Vitamin C Serum for the skin and Kalika Hair Oil for hair.
