Whatsapp is the "ONLY" communication channel which has been able to transcend the age barrier and is popular amongst kids, teenagers, adults and old population alike. You would have your parents, grandparents as well as friends and kids active on the platform and when I say active, I mean they would read your whatsapp message within seconds. In today's world, almost all the communications happen on Whatsapp - Be it business, wishing our loved ones on their special occasions or even the famed "Good Mornings". Let me take you through the impact that Whatsapp is having on our daily lives and how it has deteriorated our lives for the worst. 1. Festival wishes on Whatsapp Now, you send a message of "Happy Diwali" and "Happy New Year" on Whatsapp as compared to calling our loved ones on these special occasions. This has resulted in us getting distanced from our close friends and relatives. Not good at all! 2. Family Groups Almost all of you would be a part of your family group and also must be getting Good Morning messages daily. These messages are totally unnecessary and also creates kind of animosity towards the people sending these messages on daily basis. The Happy Birthday messages for the "Most Distant cousins' kids" where you don't even know their names is also very irritating :P 3. Checking Whatsapp every minute You must be a part of 10s of Whatsapp groups and there must be 500 odd phone contacts who are active on Whatsapp. The Whatsapp keeps beeping every minute as these groups see forwards or your contacts message you. We are more frequent on Whatsapp than any other app and it must be taking hours of your time and making you unproductive! 4. College Groups These groups get formed within a year of passing out of the college and your batch mates are a part of that group. These are mostly inactive but someone wakes up on a particular day and then there are hundreds of messages. It becomes the most active group for a short duration and then goes into silent mode again. 5. Office groups Office groups are another pain in the butts for everyone. You need to join them and then cannot leave the group. You need to reply to every message in a witting way and waste some non-significant time.
