India was struggling to get a single medal in the Rio Olympics 2016 since two weeks. Breaking the frustration and disappointment comes forward the two leading ladies of India and gifted two back to back medals to Indian sports fraternity during the festive season.

Sakshi Malik leads the match in the last 90 seconds with a tremendous comeback leaving us breathless for a while in a face-off match whereas P V Sindhu led her journey towards victory leading in both the sets.

Sakshi Malik fought back from 0-5 down to beat Kyrgyzstan’s Aisuluu Tynybekova 8-5 in the bronze medal match of the women’s 58kg wrestling event. This 23-year-old lady managed to pull off the comeback at the last 90 seconds leading and securing the medal for India. Her reaction after the historic win is a must watch. See It Here:
Born on 3rd September 1992, in Rohtak, Haryana, Sakshi Malik was supported by her parents in following her career choice. Started her training at the mere age of 12, Sakshi is now the first Indian women wrestler to grab a medal in Olympics. The girl is a pride not only for the country but also for her parents who supported her all her life at a state like Haryana where the sex ratio is pretty less and killing the girl fetus is recorded the most.

The 21-year-old, born on 5 July 1995, Sindhu became the first Indian woman to reach Olympic finals after beating Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the semi-finals of Rio Olympics 2016 in straight sets 21-19, 21-10. She’s also the first badminton player to reach the finals of Olympics.
