Pankaj Tripathi is a Hindi films actor who graduated from National School of Drama (NSD). He made his debut in the year 2004 with a minor role in the Abhishek Bacchan starrer ‘RUN’. Since, then he has appeared in about forty movies. He has also acted in about sixty television shows. Pankaj Tripathi is widely recognized for his portrayal of the character of ‘Sultan’ in the 2012 blockbuster ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ film series.
At the start of his film carrier, Pankaj Tripathi had played many grey shaded gangster characters. His first film as a lead actor was ‘Gurgaon’ which was released in 2017. In the same year, he appeared alongside Rajkumar Rao in the movie ‘Newton’, which later became India’s official entry for the Oscars in the category of the best foreign film.
