Now, getting ready for travelling means that we need to
- Pick the destination
- Finalize the itinerary
- Pack the stuff
Pick the Destination
This is the fundamental step in planning your travel. Firstly, choose whether you want to explore some place in India or you are looking to travel to some international location depending on your budget & preferences.
After that, you need to shortlist the destinations which you are looking to visit along with the budget required for the same. Then, you need to finalize the destination(s) after consulting with your family/friends who are travelling with you.
Finalize the itinerary
Once, the destination has been finalized; we need to plan for the activities to be undertaken during our stay at the destination. This step requires a lot of research so that we are able to find “hidden gem” attractions at our destination and more or less decides the quality of our outing. After finalizing the itinerary; we need to book the tickets and hotel etc so that everything is properly arranged for.
Then comes the third part of Packing luggage so that we carry all the important items that would be needed during the trip.

Packing the stuff
Packing generally is a nightmare for me and is a time taking stuff. Getting the right luggage wins half this battle. You’ll need luggage that fits your needs no matter how often or why you travel. It must be large enough to accommodate all of your belongings, light enough to carry, and long-lasting enough to last year after year.
Which luggage to choose?
There are a number of questions that come to our mind while choosing the luggage bags:
- Is it better to have soft or hard sides on your luggage?
Soft/Hard side luggage is definitely a matter of personal preference.
- What material should we choose?
We recommend polycarbonate for hard shell luggage because it is both durable and lightweight. Aluminum is heavier than ABS plastic, and ABS plastic is not as robust.
Nylon is your best pick for soft fabric baggage that stuffing into tiny areas because it’s robust and weather resistant.
Luggage Industry is full of legacy brands
The rise of the travel and tourism industry has increased the demand for various types of travel bags. Also, increase in urbanization, movement of business travelers, changes in lifestyle and increasing demands for innovative products has boosted the growth of travel bags in these years. There are a number of legacy brands like VIP which we have been bought upon but isn’t it really boring?
So for our own travel plans, we set out to find a new age brand which matches our personality and preferences.
And we found Nasher Miles – which literally means “Publish Miles”. Together, this word “Nasher Miles” means a promise to bring to the world, real travel experiences.
Nasher Miles sells luggage of all kinds, from carry-ons, to checked bags, and more. Furthermore, categorizing luggages into hardside, softside, backpacks, laptop roller cases and accessories.
Their products are named after cities
Interestingly, their products are named after cities and we, in fact, got attracted to the brand due to this. For example – they have named their products as Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Istanbul etc. Every product has some features which are reminiscent of that city.
Paris is popular for love so the “Paris” luggage comes with attractive colors and also a comfortable design representing a couple’s committed love.
Similarly – New York is more suitable for jet-setters. It has a front compartment that allows you to add/remove items without opening the entire bag. It is most helpful during security check-in at airports, to quickly keep a laptop, mobile phone, power bank, wallet, etc.
Our favorite products –
Amsterdam
It features a protective hard PP (Polypropylene) hard top. PP is the lightest of all the thermoplastic products, making it the ideal material for lightweight luggage. It is very resilient and a great choice for travelers who want good protection in as lightweight form as possible.
This is available in five beautiful eye-catching pop colours.
Zurich
This is scratch resistant as it comes in polycarbonate material. It is also light to carry and is spacious which was a pleasant surprise, the handle is very comfortable to carry and the moving wheels were also very smooth. It has a side mounted number lock to ensure the security of the luggage. Overall, we liked the product quality which was quite amazing.
